Phillies have the lead arm, but fewer clean exits

The extra run fits the shape of this finale

Holmes has enough practical rest to provide normal length, and the Braves have the cleaner Lee-to-Iglesias route behind him. That combination gives them several ways to remain within one run even if Luzardo wins the starting-pitcher portion of the matchup.
The primary risk is straightforward: Luzardo is capable of working deep and handing the Phillies a controlled game. Holmes’ command can also wobble, and misplaced fastballs are rarely granted mercy at Citizens Bank Park.
The late innings still tilt the call. With Duran likely limited or unavailable and the Phillies sorting through less certain leverage options, backing the Braves with a run in hand is the sounder position.
